Meet Our Team

Dr. Susan O'Toole

 

Dr. Susan O’Toole has been practicing in Collingwood since November 2008. She was raised in Barrie before pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at McMaster University in Hamilton. She then obtained her medical degree and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Queen’s University in Kingston. She became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2004.

Dr. O’Toole spent the next four years providing locum services in Ontario and travelling around the world visiting Europe, Africa, China and South America. She then spent six months on a mission with Doctors Without Borders in Sri Lanka.

​

Feeling it was time to settle down, Dr. O’Toole was very pleased to find a home in Collingwood. She has a special interest in colposcopy, operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.

Dr. Jennifer Tomas

 

Dr. Jennifer Tomas was pleased to start her Ob/Gyn practice in Collingwood in August 2013. Dr. Tomas is originally from Markham, Ontario and completed her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and Medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the University of Western Ontario in London in 2013, and received her licensure and fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She became interested in working and living in Collingwood from her excellent experience with the Rural Ontario Medical Program as both a medical student and a resident.  She now lives in Collingwood with her husband and 2 children.

Dr. Tomas has a wide interest in a variety of Obstetrical and Gynecologic areas, including: prenatal care, contraception, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, and postmenopausal concerns. She also provides colposcopy care to treat precancerous changes of the cervix, vagina and vulva.

Dr. Robyn Stark

 

Dr. Robyn Stark has been practising general obstetrics and gynecology in Collingwood since 2019. Prior to moving to Collingwood she lived in London, ON, where she did her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Western University. She obtained her MD from McMaster University and her undergraduate degree in genetics from Western University.

 

Dr. Stark enjoys the breadth of care afforded by a general OBGYN practice – though she admits she has a special interest in caring for those who have experienced reproductive trauma and perinatal mental health concerns. She provides on-call coverage for OBGYN services at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Patients requiring psychotherapy for perinatal mental health and reproductive trauma are seen at the Open Eaves clinic.

 

She is grateful to live in Collingwood with her husband, children, and assortment of pets. When not working, she is most likely to be found cooking, spending time with her aforementioned family, or roaming around in nature.​

Melissa Christie is our full time front desk medical office administrator as of December 2021.  She is happy to welcome you into the office and help answer any questions you have!
